ZsCompare Version 3.03
Directory Comparison Changes
- Added the ability to filter files by the date they were last modified when performing directory comparisons. This functionality is available only in the Standard and Professional Editions of zsCompare.
Memory Management Changes
- Added the ability to change how much memory is allocated to zsCompare from within the program.
- Fixed the memory monitor so the graph scales correctly when the available memory is increased or decreased.
General Fixes
- Fixed so the list of files which will be deleted and the list of files which could not be deleted can be resized.
- Fixed so the list of files which will be deleted and the list of files can be saved to a file or copied to the clipboard.
- Fixed problem which could cause the program to stop responding after trying to copy files which could not be copied.
- Fixed problem where results were not always generated from the command line when specifying the files or folders to be compared from the command line using the /left, /right, /leftFile, or /rightFile options rather than using a session.
- Fixed error which occurred very infrequently dragging items from the directory comparison results.
- Fixed problems which could cause zsCompare to stop responding especially when using the scripting functionality.
ZsCompare Version 3.02
ZsCompare version 3.02 introduces the ability to compare nested zip files (and zip file derivatives like jar files.
ZsCompare Version 3.01
- Improved memory usage when writing reports to prevent out of memory errors when the results of large comparisons are saved.
- Fixed so that zsCompare remembers the options that were set last on the Directory comparison tab.
- Fixed error when loading entries from zip files after the available extensions were changed.
- Fixed error loading zip files after the number of zip file extensions have been changed.
- Fixed error during patch file creation when zsCompare cannot load the differences between two files. Instead of generating a fatal error, zsCompare will fail the patch file creation.
- Fixed rare error which occurred when files were copied or deleted.
- Fixed problem displaying feedback and problem report forms from within the program on Mac OS X and Linux.
- Fixed occasional problems which interfered with zip file operations causing files in zip files to not update or extract properly.
- Fixed problem which occurred while running zsCompare using the command line interface and having zsCompare generate results.
- Fixed error which occurred when using the /noSplash command line option.
- Fixed error which caused a memory to be consumed unnecessarily when using zip files and the custom explorer to select files.
- Fixed the By Character Fast Comparison options in the Professional Edtion to correctly use the Fast Character Matching Routine.
